Definitely NOT comfortable, nor is it hassle free returns
Things started off very well for my journey with REM-Fit UK. I feel like I got a good deal, I had a good line of communication with the company when I asked some questions before buying, and I was excited having read all the good reviews on both TrustPilot and Facebook. Some people said it was THE most comfortable mattress they’ve slept on and had the best night sleep. I’ve had back surgery 2 years ago and really needed to upgrade my mattress. The 400 Hybrid mattress was purchased on 11/06, it was a very quick smooth process and was delivered only three days later on 14/06! Two men brought the mattress in, rolled up lengthways and shrink wrapped, I immediately opened up and positioned the mattress and was instantly a little deflated in the first initial impressions. The mattress does feel soft to touch, it has a good look to it, it has four handy handles on the underside although one ripped away on the first pull when positioning the mattress solo! I allowed the mattress to settle for 12 hours before use as it was delivered and unwrapped in the morning. The evening I came to sleep on it, hoping it would be super comfortable, only my partner and I weren’t aware of what was to come! We were SO uncomfortable, it was comparable to sleeping on the floor. I woke at 4am and had to dig out my 7cm thick mattress topper just to find some comfort. We both woke, baring in mind we are 31 and 27 years old, we felt the worst back pain in a very long time. The lumbar spine just felt totally seized and stiff, we were infact crippled for a good 5 hours that day. It was very apparent there was no way we could sleep on this another night. I immediately emailed REM-Fit UK asking to arrange a return, I explained my experience but we were to-and-fro a few times because they insisted I keep it for 30 days before considering a return. I explained I just could not even consider 1 more sleep nevermind another 29. They then offered me a partial refund which was actually very generous but this was not a mattress I was going to use! I said I would be returning it regardless whether it’s now or 30 days of use and declined the partial refund.. With that said they eventually accepted my return request, it was collected on 19/06 (1 week after the initial delivery) and I received my full refund came through on 22/06. My overall experience: customer service did seem good, the hassle free returns as they advertise it to be was certainly not hassle free.. However I did have it collected and fully refunded in the end. It is a shame, it was so uncomfortable!!
