Best. Wine site. Ever.
We had some friends over last night for a wine night. We ran thru several styles/regions and at one point, decided to open a Bordeaux. We selected Château Castera 2015 Médoc Crus Bourgeois and popped the cork; much to our dismay, the bottle was corked. We opened the second bottle of the same label and it too, was corked. We were quite bummed, but moved onto another Bordeaux. Meanwhile, as we are carrying on, I decided to reach out to wine spies (where I purchased these) to see if anyone else had reported issues with these bottles, or if we were just the unlucky ones. Being a holiday weekend, I fully expected not to hear back until the following week; not only did wine spies reply immediately, on a Friday night (before a holiday) mind you, but Agent Moscato sincerely apologized for the unfortunate situation, but credited my account for both bottles?!? Outstanding "customer service" is not a strong enough descriptor for how wine spies treats their customers. I love this site!
