I have booked a car in Albania
I have booked a car through Vipcars website with Finalrentals supplier at Tirana International Airport, Albania. When I went to pick up the car around 1.30 pm the guy working there refused to help me with what I booked online and wasted 2 hours of my time convincing me to wait beacuse the car wasn't available! or he could drive the car to my location around 6 pm that day. When I refused all his offers, he provided me with a Skoda. It was fine but instead of sticking to the 224€ as showed in my voucher, he took 254€ from me which included another driver!! I told him the voucher already included another driver and I only need to add the cost of a crossing border application. However, he totally refused to acknowledge my online booking and insisted that extra money is for adding another driver and asked for 20 euros in cash to complete the border crossing request. Yes I did get a better car, but the whole process was wrong and unfair. So, instead of just picking up my rental car or similar car and going with my day I wasted 2 hours arguing with someone who didn't care about the customer's time or money. I complained to the Finalrentals and Vipcars about the problem but no one helped me out and they thought I should be grateful that I got a good car. Even worse, Finalrentals did not respond and instead they sent my complaint to the same person I was complaining against!!? I found it really funny, demeaning and unacceptable. It was a bad experience for me I will never use this company again nor will I recommend it to anyone.
