Lloyds Bank are untrustworthy, incompetent and treat customers with utter contempt. Lloyds increased my car insurance premium by more than 100% at this year's renewal without any reason and could not explain and justify this increase. Lloyds then handled my formal complaint badly and incompetently. They also failed to address my complaint fully and treated me with utter contempt. Lloyds has so far ignored (and not even acknowledged) a second formal complaint relating to their failure to follow internal/regulatory procedures for handing complaints. I have had a current account with Lloyds for decades and also arranged credit cards, loans and house insurance (in addition to car insurance) with them. As I cannot trust Lloyds I have closed my current account and will not give them any business going forward. I now have a current account with First Direct who have kindly rewarded me with £175 for switching the account to them).
