Direct debit mandate fiasco

Finally, after printing out and posting (it's 2025 HSBC, still using the post??) two direct debit mandates (first not received, tried again). Turns out the second also got eaten by the pigeons. Called this morning and was cut off the first time, after lengthy discussions and 15 minutes of my time. Called again and after another 15 minutes of lengthy discussions, was transferred to Lanre. Someone who actually helped me (at last!), and the direct debit mandate was changed over the phone (maybe it is 2025 after all). Horrible process but Lanre was great.
