If I could give Streetlane Homes and…
If I could give Streetlane Homes and Great Jones no stars, I would. Major issue is the lack of communication. You can't get anyone on the phone. You are in this constant email tag. Renters beware. I found out that Streetlane Homes purchased Great Jones and my lease was transferred once I signed the documents. I received an email with the notification. Whoever thought virtual leasing offices was a great idea, is sorely mistaken. I waited 3 weeks to submit a google review. How you are seduced into renting is the the option of using Rhino. Rhino is like buying insurance on your security deposit. At this point, I wish I would have just paid the damn deposit and gotten I home from another company. This rules for renting wasn't clear. I moved from out of state and had to travel multiple times because the property which I applied for suddenly wasn't available. You must view the property or have someone else physically walk through the property. I learned this with only 2 weeks left before moving. I was told that the property could only be held for 2 weeks from your leasing date. Now, this was communicated to me after l placed my application and my credit was check. I had to settled for a house (on my third attempt) in a rougher part of town in order to move in by the start of my job. I was provided with assistance to transfer and turn on new utilities. This third party goal objective is to sell you internet service and home security. For most part, I turn on my utilities myself. The property information listed will not tell you the security deposit nor the pet fees associated with renting from this company. When I applied online, I submitted all income requirements and identification. However, once I was approve based on my credit, I was asked to resubmit documentation. I believed this lack of structure caused me to lose 2 houses that I really wanted. Because you see, you will be emailing constantly and not speaking with anyone by phone. When you call Rently which is the another company (not sure if it is owned by Streetlane or Great Jones), they will take messages for the lease agent to call you back. I moved into my rental on August 31, 2022. I was sent an email the night before advising me on the lockbox code for the key. I wasn't told where the lockbox would be located. I arrived in Columbus, GA at 10 pm. It took me over 30 minutes searching for the lockbox. Lets just say it wasn't attached to any doors. My email advised that a move in team would contact prior to moving in to review information and answer questions. I received no call, but an email. When I arrived, my grass wasn't cut, heavy tree branches located all over my back yard, tree roaches in the home, and spider webs. The maintenance crew who was here place trash and construction items in the recycling bin that one the trash collection won't pickup and two I can't physically move. My hold fee which is my first month's rent hasn't been transferred from Great Jones to Streetlane Homes and today I receive any email from the collection department with a final notice for eviction. I am being charged a late fee, and administration fee that was never disclosed to me by Great Jones. I emailed over a week ago requesting that this charge be removed. I am seriously hoping that this will not need to be a legal matter. I will definitely not rent from Streetlane Homes, Great Jones, nor any virtual renting company again. If you have read my entire valid complaint, I recommend that YOU don't rent either.
