Upgrade processed incorrectly leading to absolute nightmare.
I ordered my phone as an upgrade, however it was not processed as an upgrade and a new contract with a new number was taken out. I spoke to O2, who couldn't help me because the contract was taken out on the new number and my number, that I wanted to keep, could not be transferred to the new contract. I had to send my new phone back, which was the simplest thing to do out of the whole process, thankfully. However, due to the phone from Mobile Phones Direct being a new contract, I was prevented from upgrading by O2. I spent 2 hours on the phone to O2 attempting to sort out the problem. I now have a new contract with EE who allowed me to move my number to them instead. Frankly the whole thing was a nightmare and I've had to leave O2 after being with them for 15 years. I won't be risking the same thing happening again, so I won't be using Mobile Phones Direct again, nor will I recommend it to my friends.
