I URGE you to read this review before…

I URGE you to read this review before deciding upon purchasing your next vehicle by way of PSA Finance. Having purchased a brand new faulty Peugeot 3008 via PSA Finance from Robins & Day in Chingford in March 2018, I attempted to resolve the fault by returning my car back to Robins & Day Chingford on two occasions. The fault lay with the failure of the automatic stop/start function, which Robins & Day claimed was not faulty, despite it not working properly. Instead, they claimed it wasn't working because of the way I was driving it, which is rubbish and has been proven so by several mechanics and technicians, all of which were verified. To cut a long story short, I escalated my complaint to Peugeot customer care and subsequently Peugeot's UK board of directors in order to hopefully resolve the issue, but Peugeot's directors then passed me on to their terribly poor lawyers, Geldards, who attempted to fob me off, telling me I had too much time on my hands and that I was 'fighting a losing battle'. I then contacted PSA Finance I order to reject my vehicle, and spoke to somebody called Jamal who became my case handler. Jamal was sympathetic to the issue, while also stating during another call that Peugeot were now refusing to deal with me and would not respond to any correspondence. Having then sought a health check for my vehicle with a third party - in this instance it was the AA - it was established that my car didn't just have one fault, but FOURTEEN. Please remember, this car was approximately eight months old at the time. The AA produced a report from their diagnostics machine showing all faults, which were shrouded by actual Peugeot codes, so we were unable to determine what these were. A faulty battery was also diagnosed, despite Peugeot claiming just a few weeks before that my battery was in good health. I forwarded the reports to PSA Finance and contacted Jamal and his manager in his absence, Michael, in order to continue with the rejection of my vehicle. Both Jamal and Michael agreed over the phone that I was well within my right to reject the vehicle on the basis of the faults and the opportunities Robins & Day Chingford had to identify and fix them. Fast forward a few weeks and I received a call from Michael at PSA Finance stating I was unable to reject my vehicle, while denying he had ever said this. I was also told I needed to speak to Peugeot in order to reject the vehicle. When I explained Peugeot would no longer speak to me and that I was required to reject my vehicle via PSA Finance as this was who I was paying for it, the call went absolutely nowhere. After 12 weeks of PSA Finance being in receipt of my complaint, and having gotten nowhere with them, I contacted the Financial Ombudsman Service who have now agreed with my argument and I am now in the process of getting PSA Finance to come and collect my car. Don't go near PSA Finance with a bargepole.
