No internet, support, just lies.
No internet. No support. Straight up liars. It was hard to find an ISP that could supply internet where we lived in Hamburg but 1und1 was one of the options. When we ordered the internet in April 2024 everything sounded good. After 6 months(with no internet yet) but 2 calls with confusing contract changes. 2 Price changes, a change in binding period and at the last call we were promised a price, a router and 1 month termination because we've waited for so long. It turns out that was just lies. Now, more than 1 year after there's still no working internet and when support is called they say stuff like: "I'm not allowed to speak English" "You are in Germany you should speak German" "If I went to England and spoke German, people would laugh at me too!" We get frustrated, especially since English is not our main language either, but if some of that frustration is shared with customer support they just hang up or redirect to someone else who only speaks German. Currently we are having a lot of trouble trying to cancel and we've probably paid 1und1 around 800 euro, not to mention the mobile bills from calling them (We don't have a german number) Not sure if it's better for native Germans but at least for us, this has been so much time, money and frustration for NOTHING. Will strongly suggest not using 1und1 for anything.
