AXA is an absolute DISGRACE.

They DENIED my child access to a paediatric consultation, despite a GP referral made after my son presented with serious symptoms — bruising, nosebleeds, weakness, and lethargy. Why? Because someone with ZERO medical training at AXA decided — based purely on assumption — that these symptoms might relate to a developmental issue, which they don’t cover. Let me repeat: AXA overruled a GP’s medical referral based on the uninformed opinion of an admin. They refused to follow the referral. They denied the consultation. And in doing so, they ignored the very real possibility of something more serious — including life-threatening conditions like cancer. Their own policy clearly states that children under 18 must be assessed IN PERSON — not over the phone, not guessed at by unqualified staff — yet they completely ignored this obligation. To make matters worse, the Financial Ombudsman has been equally useless. After nearly a year, they backed AXA by quoting just three lines of the policy — while ignoring multiple clauses that guarantee this kind of medical support. If you’re a parent: THINK TWICE before trusting AXA. They are not just failing to deliver care — they are putting children’s health at risk. This is not a customer service issue. This is negligence. DO NOT TRUST AXA. EVER.
