Overall a great experience.
The ship was very well appointed and very comfortable. The staff were very very attentive and pleasant. The food was also very good (although a bit more variety at lunch would have been nice). Altogether a great experience and one we will repeat. An excellent trip. Some areas which might improve things even further: 1. Please accept euros for bookings! You have an offer for those on our cruise of 5% discount if we repeat booking. A good offer, but I can only pay with € card, and the banks will effectively take 5% on currency fees thus negating the offer. 2. While waiting to be picked up in Munich airport, our driver got caught up in very heavy traffic and was delayed. But he didn’t seem to have our phone number to let us know, and we were left having to call offices etc. if the driver had our number a lot of stress would have been avoided, both for us, and for the (very nice) driver. 3. On the first morning we were picked up at a hotel in Nuremberg. We had been advised to be in reception by 7.20 am, ready to board a coach. At 7.40 a representative arrived and told us that the coach would leave at 8.00pm. When we asked why we had to be up and about 40 minutes earlier the rep said “who told you that” . We responded APT and she said “I don’t work for APT, just for the coach company”. If APT must use her services I would suggest she be sent to charm school.
