I live in a block of apartments Prime…
I live in a block of apartments Prime have recently taken over the facilities management and their first task they decided was important was to remove unused bikes from the private parking area. They claimed to have sent an email to all residents to explain that any unclaimed bikes would be removed unless they had a RED TAG on them which would be handed out to residents; there was no email and unless you asked the caretaker you never received any RED Tags either. They left note on a notice board that nobody ever looks at saying that bikes would be removed but there was no mention of red tags or emails. A few days ago a group of gentleman turned up in a van and removed any bikes without a red tag on including children’s bikes they cut several locks and the locks they couldn’t cut they just left the wheel behind and took the remainder of the bike. The family below us had 6 bikes taken which included 4 children’s bikes. When the mother of the family asked for her bikes to be returned she was told that if she could provide photographic evidence that the bikes belonged to her she would be allowed to come and collect. The caretaker contacted the representative from Prime to ask her to put a stop to it because many people were not aware of this and she refused. This is an ongoing issue and as residents our next steps is to call the police.
