I regret to say that my experience with DC Law has been quite different from the glowing reviews recently seen on Google. We have been trying to sell our property (to a first-time buyer) and purchase another (with no onward chain) through DC Law for the past six months. Our conveyancer, Emma, has been consistently unreliable, beginning with an initial six or seven weeks of silence from the point of our instruction. More recently, she has been virtually impossible to reach by telephone or email, with enquiries often going unanswered for weeks—if at all. Our paperwork has been ready since around early to mid-December, leaving only one outstanding task on Emma’s side regarding the local roads and council ownership. The buyer of our house, meanwhile, has returned all their searches, and we have addressed every concern raised. Despite this, we are still in limbo about our move, with Emma appearing dismissive at best on the rare occasions we do manage to speak. While I cannot speak for other employees at DC Law, this level of service and communication is frankly farcical. I can only advise anyone seeking a smooth, timely sale to look elsewhere—our process, which should have been straightforward, has instead dragged on for six to eight months with no clear end in sight
