Delays and Poor Communication.
At the point of me writing this it has taken Enact three months to do my remortgage, and no end is in sight. It is only now I have passed the deadline for the switchover that any work at all seems to be taking place. Communication has been poor to say the least, with them repeatedly requesting things I’ve already sent them, only to confirm later that they already had said items. This has slowed down the whole process a great deal, which will cost me hundreds of pounds and has caused a huge amount of stress. I feel that the fact they have a contract with Nationwide to provide conveyancing services makes them complacent, as they clearly feel absolutely zero drive to deliver good service to the individual borrowers. I couldn’t recommend them less. - Edited to add - Since posting this and receiving their copy/pasted template on here I have been made aware that my case has been ‘escalated’, but have not received any explanation as to why this remortgage has taken so long (I started this process in JANUARY!) nor have I received any reassurances as to when I can expect the process to be completed. I will update when progress is made.
