Not a customer I'm a mobile mechanic…

Not a customer I'm a mobile mechanic done allot of jobs recently where the rac has misdiagnosed a car very common, as most of my customers have to get towed back home or whatever. Had a clutch he misdiagnosed as the slave cylinder and it wasn't, did some brakes other week and the brakes were locking on beforehand well rac said front calipers so I replaced them for customer and it still did same I recommended the abs, the brakes locked on even worse after I did the front brakes new pads/disc as well. Well he comes out and rings me up says pads are too thick I told him the pads were from my suppliers which always gets right parts for the vehicle as it's through part numbers but no he was adiment, so I asked what to do he recommended I buy a different brand of pads so I told him they will just be same thickness them I also said maybe the abs is causing all of this as it's locked on there was no pressure in the brake system, when I bled it before replacing any parts. To he replies " a load of rubbish" I laughed and luckily customer took phone off him pitty I weren't there nearly went back out but why should I for a stupid rac man who supposedly is l3 qualified lol. these rac men just tow your car or look under bonnet and go off of knowledge they have and just say oh you need this, I wouldn't trust them to diagnose my car unless there's proof through a diag tool I'm constantly correcting customers on what's wrong and they listen to the rac over me and I'm L2 qualified so I don't even argue with them no more, I just won't take on work what the rac/AA misdiagnose without basic checks trust me they couldn't diagnose a bad crank sensor half of em, some are great lads just guess half of time. Funny thing is I applied to work for rac and got an email saying I lack basic knowledge as I'm L2 qualified. Had allot of customers ask why I don't work for them, rather be self employed as well as misdiagnosis just in general rude half of them, heard stories where you can't even say different they're always correct. Good for recovery and simple work, wouldn't use for mobile work. Charge as much as a garage for easy jobs and recommend nearly every job is done in a garage which isn't case they probably won't change an injector nor will they take on a snapped bolt. My uncle worked for rac and he knows everything but did say usually they just guess what's wrong and take it to where customer wants it not really what you need to hear.
