Excellent experience with APT Travelmarvel. Spencer Scott our tour director Through the Rockies was excellent. He organised our group of 38 extremely well. He was efficient, knowledgeable, and patient. We learned a lot from him and enjoyed his anecdotes and playlist. The coach driver, Sandeep, was also excellent and one could sense a very good rapport between him and Spencer I would definitely suggest an additional hour, at least, longer at the first stop on Vancouver Island- the town with the fascinating murals, interesting shops and museum Half an hour is much too little especially as we did not need that extra time at the hotel in Victoria which it seemed we were rushing to get to by 4pm? The Rocky Mountaineer although a wonderful train - comfortable, fabulous food and great service was a disappointment in terms of scenery. We saw more trees close up than mountains and therefore the extra we paid for the Gold Class glass ceiling was not value for money. Also Kamloops where we stayed overnight was very disappointing. Butchard Gardens and our final dinner there was a highlight. On the Zaandam, Holland America Line Alaska cruise Jeffrey the Travelmarvel representative was friendly, fun and very helpful.
