Poor customer service and communication
We were sold a heat pump in June 2026. Installers came out and installed the heat pump and ran the line into the house at that time. We were told they would not hook it up to our existing fuse panel. We spent the next several months organizing with Hydro One and our electrician to have our panel upgraded, which was complete the beginning of September. Reliance was then contacted to arrange to have the install completed, which was scheduled for Sept 16. A crew came out at the time but realized that they were unable to complete the task, so we discussed rescheduling for the following Wednesday (23), same time frame. As of September 22nd I had no confirmation of this appointment other than a verbal agreement the week before so I contacted Reliance to confirm. They had no record of an appointment, so they scheduled me an appointment for September 23. No one showed up for this appointment. I have contacted their customer service department who could not help but have referred me to their complaints department. I have yet to hear back from anyone. To top it off I've been paying for the maintenance plan for a heat pump that has never been completely installed or turned on.
