Wealth of Homesteading Skills
My wife and I moved to the beautiful Ozarks of Missouri and purchased 100 acres of hardwood forest. Before retiring as an aerospace engineer, I purchased a Lucas Swing-blade Sawmill. My wife and I built our own home and timber-frame barn with our own two hands as we started our homestead. I knew how to build buildings but had very little knowledge of fine woodworking. So, I signed up with WWGoA to learn all I could. With the skills I learned from George, I built my own raised panel kitchen cabinets from some of the Black Walnut I harvested from our property. I have also learned to build furniture, shelving, molding and trim. But also improved my skills of storing and curing lumber, identifying which wood types to use for which project or use. George has a wealth of knowledge and an engaging teaching style that makes it so easy to learn complex and varied woodworking skills. I especially love when he shows how to work with actual log handling and tuning every part of the tree into beautiful projects. If you're a homesteader, you'll want to get a subscription to George's WWGoA. He makes it affordable for those who don't have a lot of money. But the money you'll save with the skills he teaches will more than cover even the full price membership. Keep up the great teachings!!!
