I booked a hire car using Cartrawler to pick up a car at Bergamo Airport Italy. When I got there the receptionist told me that I couldn't have the car because the car was booked under Mr PG Harris and not Philip George Harris, I produced evidence to prove PG Harris and Philip George Harris was the same but they flatly refused and left us stranded at the airport. In all my experience in hiring cars abroad I've never come across anything so ridiculous.
