Disgrace re. no ex gratia.

NO STARS, PSA. Here's how to lose a reliable, long standing customer... Due to internal lags between Peugeot and PSA Finance when part-exchanging vehicles, PSA direct debited an 8K balloon payment for my previous vehicle from my business account after I was already driving my new one. This debit should not have happened. I had duly completed all paperwork required in good time. The very unwelcome discovery of said invalid 8K debit was an entirely internal error on the part of the parent company, PSA, and its dealership. I have an excellent, long-standing relationship with my personal dealer so was shocked and angry when PSA staff were constipated, procedural and slow to offer apologies (which sounded as if they were made to cover what they sit on) when explaining that they would not be refunding my money until all banking processes were cleared with their own banks. The outcome of the last of a tedious series of phone calls over five days was that no ex-gratia payment would or 'could' be made to me, someone who has paid them thousands of pounds in interest over many years. Meanwhile, my business account has been cleared out by their error, meaning I have had to raid an ISA to pay bills and cover what will eventually become, due to compound communication delays between the two companies, a minimum 10 day loss of use my money (or eight working days). Their suggestion to prevent business losses? That I "indemnify" the temporary losses with my bank i.e arrange an overdraft. I dare not insert any adjective at this point but, reader, feel free to mentally insert a rude one. Expletives are applicable to companies motivated as PSA Finance clearly are, to the point where they neglect the very source of their finance.
