I would steer away from using Great Jones as a management company. They have managed our property for 3 years. The first two years were good. December 2019-December 2020 has been a nightmare. I was told by Les the comptroller that they would not charge my credit card for the turn until we got the final turn amount. But days later they charged my credit card $5,000 plus 3% for using a cc. When in fact they should have deducted the security deposit before charging my credit card. I have asked 3-5 times for them to have Les call me but after a week I have not heard from him. In October I received an email asking me for permission to start the search for a new tenant. I emailed back, “What happened to my tenant that was there?” I was told by Alex that they had just heard he moved out. I contacted the tenant and he showed me his email that he sent GJ and that was October 8th. So once again another lie. I live in CT and my rental is in Fort Myers. With Covid I can not fly down to make sure all the things I paid for to be done got done. I hope this helps you make an intelligent decision on your next management company. JB December 17, 2020 I would like to respond to GJ reply to my issues with them. You state you gave me the opportunity to speak to Les but that is not true. I have not been notified of any such thing.
