NRG Transportation Inc DO NOT USE…

NRG Transportation Inc DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE YOUR AUTO Had to have my hospitalized son’s auto move across PA. Reached out to many brokers to move the auto. After a ton of work, phone calls, etc. I selected the company above in part to quote being in the mid range and the agent’s understanding. Once I selected NRG, I signed the contract for the price of $200. The date was chosen between myself and the agent, as we had many chores to complete in the town here the car was located. All further work hinged upon the pickup of the car. We were given the time and driver’s name to meet at the location. The day of the scheduled pickup we left many hours early to be sure we would not inconvenience the truck driver to hand over the keys. After arriving across the state, from that point forward we only dealt with a supervisor at NRG, who explained that he was stepping in to take charge, as the original agent, was new and being trained. We were informed that the contract had been given to another outfit. That dispatcher called and gave us the new driver’s name and phone number to touch base and the pick up time of the car was changed to 2 hours later. We rolled with it. I was given an incorrect phone number for the 2nd driver and reached out to NRG to get the driver's correct phone number. I was also informed by a supervisor at NRG that the price was now $350. Almost double. But we were already close to the location of the car, had signed the contract and had very little choice to begin again from scratch. Next thing the supervisor called and said we would now have a different driver and to call them for pick up time. This last driver was very professional and polite. I was told from the beginning that NRG would charge my credit card once the car was being moved. I explained many times that I do not use any cash apps, do not know how to and could only pay by check or credit card. This was done prior to me signing the contract and repeated many times throughout this day from HELL. Car was loaded at 3:30 PM and we thought it was over. That night in the hotel, we get an email message from the agent, who said their machine to charge the credit cards was not working and therefore, we had to Zelle the money to the driver. I said again that was impossible. His supervisor then called and told me to call family and friends in order to find someone that could use Zelle to pay. I contacted the driver, told him the truth about everything, and he called his boss (owner of the company that had the car on board). Very nice man, but said he could NOT deliver the car until he was paid. He called the NRG supervisor, verified that my story was correct, and told NRG to resolve it since they had the contract. The only solution offered by NRG was to pause the transport along the turnpike overnight, and in the morning, they could try to run my credit card again. By this time I was in tears, as my son is in the hospital. I called the supervisor and begged him to resolve this, as I had no idea where my son’s car would end up. He said his hands were tied and he was not the owner of the company. I begged him to call the owner. He refused. He was very rude and unprofessional. I told him they had a signed contract and I would get the money to them as soon as I returned home the following day. I can not express enough what a nightmare working with the company was from this supervisor all the way up to the owner, who finally reached out to me almost one week later and did nothing to address this occurrence. I was finally able to contact an out of state relative, got him out of bed, and begged him to use Zelle if able so that our car would not continue to be held hostage. NO ONE SHOULD EVER DO BUSINESS with NRG TRANSPORTATION. UPDATE after the company responded. Now they are trying to bribe me with $50 to remove all online reviews. NOT HAPPENING
