Threatening Email Despite Clear Strike-Off Status – Unacceptable Service
I am extremely frustrated with Companies Made Simple (CMS) after receiving a threatening email at 1 AM on February 20, 2025, demanding payment by March 13, 2025. This is despite the fact that my company is in the process of being voluntarily struck off, a process clearly visible on Companies House and published in the Gazette on December 31, 2024. I changed my company address in 2023 to reflect my residential location and made an application for voluntary strike-off due to an error on my part. Companies House states that the strike-off takes two months, provided there are no objections. I paid fees for January and February 2025, as I understood that the company’s address would still be visible during this time. I do not believe CMS should be sending threatening emails without fully understanding the situation or the clear timelines outlined by Companies House. I was planning to re-register my company with CMS, but after receiving such an unprofessional communication, I will be looking elsewhere for services in the future. CMS should be more considerate of their customers and avoid sending premature, unfounded threats.
