Patient safety and transparency concerns.
I traveled internationally 24 hours flight to BHT Clinic Istanbul for scheduled procedures with Mecy Clinic, Dr Cem Yildrim annd his team, and unfortunately had a stressful and disappointing experience. Before payment, communication was very attentive. However, after I informed staff that I was physically unwell and unable to proceed with surgery, the tone changed and I felt pressured rather than medically supported. I had two procedures scheduled less than 24 hours apart. After completing the first surgery, the second was planned for 5 AM the following morning. I clearly informed the team that I felt physically weak and did not feel medically fit to undergo another operation so soon. Despite this, I was encouraged to proceed. I also received persistent late-night calls encouraging me to continue, which felt more like sales pressure than patient care. For the second procedure: • I was not admitted • No medical service was provided Despite this, my refund was not processed. Repeated requests for invoices, receipts, signed consent forms, and a clear billing breakdown were not fulfilled. Medical decisions should prioritize patient safety, transparency, and proper documentation. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic.
