Awful communication. Slow. Would not recommend.
I mean, they got the job done eventually, however that's about the only positive and given that's what you're paying for that's kind of the bare minimum! During the entire lengthy process I never once managed to get through to Max when I called. Every single time he was either; coming in later, on the phone, in a meeting or on his lunch break (which the whole team take at the same time). I was also advised every single time that he would call me back, this never happened. In fact during my whole transaction I believe I only spoke to him a handful of times and this was only after immense effort on my part. Emails often went completely unanswered, and when they were it was after chasing via both email and phone call for weeks on end. They were dishonest on several occasions including; the dates they advised that they sent/received emails, saying they had completed or responded to something that they hadn't, advising they were waiting on my buyer's solicitors when in fact it was the other way round to name a few. I actually feel most of the work was done between myself and the Sales Progressor at my Estate Agent's. We would have to make PCS aware when enquiries had been sent and that they needed responding to, and we had to prompt PCS regularly to communicate with my buyer's sols. They really did the bare minimum. Even now after I have finally completed there is an ongoing issue relating to PCS taking unnecessarily long to send my redemption fee to my mortgage lender, this combined with Barclays being down (which I'm aware isn't their fault) resulted in my redemption figure changing and the financial loss is currently sat with me although this was of course not my fault. I have chased this four times via email and three times via phone call and am yet to receive a response or get through to Max after he advised he was going to resolve this with the lender. I will of course update when/if this is finally resolved. Overall I really cannot recommend this company or certainly not Max Barnard and his team. Particularly not to a first time buyer who is likely to benefit from communication throughout the process and certainly not for any one with a time sensitive matter. I'm aware they are reasonably priced but absolutely not worth it.
