Double paied on booked a rental car through KlooK
I booked a rental car through Klook with Dollar Rent a Car in the U.S., and prepaid $660, which included insurance, taxes, and fees — or so I believed based on the booking. But when I arrived at the Dollar counter, the staff told me they couldn’t find any record of the insurance or full reservation details. I was left with no choice but to pay an additional $430 to receive the car — essentially paying for insurance and fees all over again. I reached out to Klook support, expecting help. Unfortunately, they didn’t take responsibility and told me it was an issue with the local provider. Their handling was disappointing and unhelpful. I personally feel that Klook is not prepared to support customers when things go wrong, especially with third-party providers. It seems they’re happy to take the money, but not to manage or ensure the service is properly delivered. I would advise others to be very careful when using Klook for car rentals. My experience cost me time, stress, and hundreds of extra dollars.
