It is pretty easy to invest in councils via the platform... choose an amount, from your ISA or general investment account and go. I like that the money is going into green projects. Some very reassuring questions to validate you understand the risks. I haven't had a bad experience (yet) with a council investment, and personally consider them safer than company investment. Obviously the returns are less flattering.

The team at Robinsons cannot be faulted on friendliness. Setting up my first tenancy with a fully managed service, they were efficient and helpful, and develop a good rapport with me a remotely located Landlord. Happy with everything they are doing, but they still have opportunities: I am far more likely to reach the answering machine than a person when i call; sometimes a long wait for receiving a call back. Also I was the one chasing communication and updates, I would have preferred regular updates on progress. But overall, i feel it is a good decision to have appointed them as my agent.
