Zero accountability- buyers beware!
Sold us a car that couldn’t legally be driven — zero accountability. Paid in full for a used vehicle from Hilton Car Supermarket only to find out after purchase that they hadn’t provided the V5 logbook. They never told us this was missing before the sale — which meant we couldn’t tax or legally drive the car for over a month. We had to pay out of pocket for a replacement V5 and when we raised the issue, we were: - Ignored repeatedly - Promised a refund that never came - Told false information (e.g. that we could tax the car online without a V5 if we handed over more money to them — which the DVLA confirmed is untrue!) - Told to wait for calls and emails that never happened Despite visiting in person and chasing by email, we got nowhere. We’ve now had to escalate this to the Motor Ombudsman and report the case to Trading Standards. They sold a car not fit for use, misled us and wasted our time and money. Buyers — check everything twice before handing over your money. We wouldn’t trust them again!
