Well-worth it!

They made the process very easy. And I like that they’ve been sending me updates. Any time I left a question on the chat (off hours) or contacted them via email, I have received a well-informed and prompt reply. Anything relating to the court system stresses me out **beyond belief.** I chose People Clerk to take as much stress out of this process as possible, and I would say, thus far, I’m happy with the result. There are a lot of little specifics to filing cases in every state, county, city etc., and - yeah - they’re not going to be “experts” on every single thing. But they have directed me to the pages and links that I’ve needed to get that information for my area/case. I especially like the “portal page” that shows me an overview of what’s happening with my case (e.g., the case number, court date, court documents, receipts, etc.). Also, I really liked that I could just use People Clerk to hire someone for document service. I didn’t want to rely on the Sherif or bother a friend. Plus, the court takes the sworn service document from a **registered process server** aa “sworn testimony under penalty of perjury” over the defendant’s word/lies in court - and they don’t need to show up as a witness, you just bring the files process notice…so it’s worth it to go with one of People Clerks service providers (they obviously have relationships with responsible servers). My process server got the job done, then People Clerk notified me it was done, and gave me an estimate of when my courthouse would “process” the service. The **courthouse** is really the slowest, most difficult part of this process. Thankfully, People Clerk is aware of this and can assuage your concerns about what forms to use, important hearing details and deadlines, as well as other mandatory case requirements (like mandatory dispute resolution - ugh) — since the court does **NONE** of this. I’d easily recommend People Clerk to others and would use it again, myself. It was worth what I paid for the small claims filing they did for me and for the additional help I received along the way. I’m leaving this review after notice of the courthouse having filed the process servers proof of service for my case. I haven’t won or lost my case - it’s schedule in about a month. This is a review of the service thus far.
