Absolutely awful service from CES / Consumer Energy Solutions
Absolutely awful service from the start. Install took over 7 weeks. They tell you that people don't have to move out but then trash every room with workers in and out for up to 12 hours a day. The dust was unbelievable and the workers don't bring anything to clean as they go during the wall insulation process. We had no hot water, limited electricity sockets and nowhere to eat or sleep for over 4 weeks. Quite the worst experience we have ever had with any company. Their 'customer after care' department doesn't care at all. They aren't the ones giving out the free systems - they are a private company being paid by the govt, not a charity. It's all about profit. They use hundreds of sub contractors and take little responsibility for how they treat your home or the quality of the work - contrary to what it says in the brochure. We were £1,200 out of pocket in unforeen costs, including accommodation charges and missing and damaged property after they finally left. Ours is a tiny cottage and promises made were repeatedly broken with little consideration for the impact this would have on us. I had to take additional annual leave from work to try and oversee the fiasco. Several radiators of the wrong size were sent, wrong skirting boards, contractors given inadequate details of the job and in some instances without basic essentials such as pieces of plasterboard or mains cable. CES never seemed to have any grip on the project and only offered to help clean up the mess when I and my son had been forced to book a room at a hostel as all the house was filthy and upside down. A far cry from the 'oh no, you won't have to move out', and 'we employ all the people we send to your property ourselves. That's how we can guarantee a high standard of work and that everyone will leave your home as they found it'!!
