No AC On Move-In Date
No AC On Move-In Date Every once in a while you come across a company you wish you hadn't. In this case, that company is Darwin Homes. Rather than tell a sob story, I'll just tell you the facts and let you decide if this is the type of company you want to do business with. (1) Darwin Homes threatened to cancel my application unless I changed the status of my Emotional Support Animal because the vendor of their choosing was backed up and taking a while to diligence my application. They agreed that they were in the wrong but I never should have been threatened in the first place. (2) Upon arriving to my apartment in the middle of summer in Austin I found out that the AC was not operable despite the apartment being a 2020 new build. As Darwin homes closes at 5, and in their opinion not having AC in 95 degree heat (while moving in) was not an emergency I still do not have functioning AC one week later (although they say I should get it next week). (3) I have suffered numerous out of pocket expenses which Darwin home refuses to reimburse because again, in their opinion not having AC in a Texas Summer is not considered a necessity. I hope the information above allows you to make an informed decision and not suffer the same issues I have. . I only wish I had known
