Ok so I have a data only sim which I use in my router in my holiday home which is 90 miles away; I need to access my account to top up the sim, however they are insisting on a one time password; however they send the OTP code to the mobile number the sim has; as the sim is not used in a phone the only way I can access the OTP is through the router, but can’t get signal on the router until I get data, and can’t get data until I top up and can’t top up until I log in; have asked them to send the OTP to my email address but they point blank refuse; they keep telling me I will have to put the sim in my phone, but the sim is 90 miles away! Completely inflexible; I appreciate we need security on accounts but when you set it so high I can’t actually access the account then it’s pretty pointless isn’t it! Will now get a sim directly from Vodaphone 🤬
