I really had a gorgeous holiday in Cannes and Cote D’azur
I really had a gorgeous holiday. I was on the Cote D’azur for a week. I was based in Cannes. What a wonderful place. Miles of beautiful beach dotted with equally lovely Bars and Restaurants. The sun shone every day between 28–34 degrees. The Hotel was situated perfect for shops restaurants bars cafes etc. it was right beside Rue D’antibes which is The Shopping Street. The Hotel rooms were spotless. Very comfortable bed. A gorgeous outdoor patio for dining and a Swimming Pool. The Guide was so knowledgeable. She brought us to Nice, Antibes , The House of Rothschild so lovely and Antibes with its port and the wonderful old town with Markets and fabulous places to eat . Just beautiful. We also went to Monaco And Monte Carlo. The view on the drive was spectacular. Later in the week we visited the Fragonard factory in Grasse. Grasse is very famous for its perfume so we got a great tour around and had time to purchase lots of Christmas gifts —- yes I’m saying this as I travelled in October. The village itself was all cobble locked and decorated with pink Umbrellas at every corner. Really lovely. We visited St Paul de Vince. This village was truly beautiful. Again cobble locked with some climbing to do but I can tell you well worth it. Many artists lived here I.e Pablo Picasso, Jean Paul Sartre , Yves Montand, Marc Chagall to mention a few. There are so many lovely Art & craft shops etc cafes great restaurants, wonderful views, truly a gorgeous place.
