Customer Service (Chat) is the WORST!!
I found a special on Boostmobile.com (buy a new phone, pay for it in full to get 12 months of free phone service). I purchased a new Samsung S25+ on the website. After selecting a phone, they ask if you want insurance or not, they ask you to pick a phone plan and you are required to pay for everything in full to get the 12 months of service for free. (Actually, you pick the lowest service plan at $25/mo and they are supposed to give you a monthly credit of $25 to reduce your payment $0.) Well...MY VERY FIRST PAYMENT I'M BILLED BY BOOST. After spending almost $1,100 in full for the phone...the first month they bill me for a month of service. I used the chat service and "Eunice" tells me that I didn't pick the $25/mo plan. (You literally can't buy the phone WITHOUT PICKING A PLAN.) I KNOW THAT I PICKED THE UNLIMITED $25/mo plan! This person kept insisting that I never selected a new plan. They told me this because they DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS AT ALL (and this error on their part would have resulted in a refund) I asked for corporate's contact info and she lies and says she doesn't know it. Lol. I pushed further for the info and she gives a general email address. (Not acceptable). I ask for their manager and after 10 MINUTES they connect me with "Miko", Resolution Manager who immediately ENDS THE CHAT. I immediately reached out on the chat again and I get "Salma" who WON'T CONNECT ME TO MIKO. Salma did offer to help, but basically said that I would need to call back 2-5 days before my August 3rd billing date to have customer service generate the $25 credit. Whaaaat?!?! This should have all been handled on my purchase date! Salma also ended the chat abruptly. These reps do not care and offer very poor service to their customers. NONE OF THIS CRAP WAS EXPLAINED UPON PURCHASE. WHY WOULD I NEED TO REACH OUT TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN IN ANOTHER 30 DAYS TO ASSURE THAT I RECEIVE A BILL CREDIT?!?! ISN'T THAT WHY I'M CHATTING WITH YOU? TO CORRECT IT?!? **Edited to add that asking someone to contact the live "chat" (the very service that you're complaining about) to resolve an issue is ridiculous and shows that these are "bot" responses and not a real Boost rep responding. Ughhh...
