Very pleasant engineer but not a good outcome, so far at least.
Doug 3187 arrived in good time and set about trying to resolve the issue. For various reasons he was unable to do so and in fact discovered another 2 issues. As it stands now we have had one meal in one month out of an oven that cost £1100.00. He left saying he would request an uplift as there are obviously multiple problems with the cooker. I tried ringing Currys to discuss the issue but because it's now out of the arbitrary 30 day period the phone system put me through to Pacifica. I went through the whole problem and was told I also needed to contact Currys. This of course is impossible on the phone, due to it putting me through to Pacifica, so I drove 10 miles to Currys in Barnstaple, where I was advised that I must wait for an uplift number from Pacifica which I then have to drive-again-to Barnstaple with to arrange a replacement. Fortunately the colleague I spoke to in Barnstaple gave me an email I can use to advise her of the uplift number. I am not overly impressed with this at all. I am also not happy that the "30 days" starts on the date of purchase, not on the day I received the goods which was 13 days later. Basically the first 13 days of my warranty period were used up without me even having the goods. Not acceptable. Currys really need to get their act together.
