The house itself was very pretty and in a great location, but there were several issues: 1) The code to get in the house did not work, so I had to call Five Star Properties immediately upon arrival. 2) When we got inside, the house was extremely dirty. Floors were covered in dust, there was a dead lizard in a window sill, and there were spiderwebs/cobwebs on the fans, furniture, etc. My kids walked through the house barefoot and the bottoms of their feet were literally black before Day 1 was even over. 3) The house came with a golf cart, but the keys were not in it and were not in the lock box (the code didn't work for that lock box either - I had to call Five Star again). My oldest daughter happened to find the golf cart keys in a random corner of the kitchen. We started the golf cart and there was no gas, so we had to fill that up before heading to the beach. 4) I was working the week we were there, and the Wi-Fi login information provided was incorrect. I had to call Five Star Properties again to get the correct information. 5) The code to the front door quit working again on Day 2, so I had to call Five Star Properties again to try and get in the house (because they do not provide a physical key). I left 2 messages, sent an email, and a customer service inquiry. Me and my daughters (6 and 3) were locked out for almost 2 hours before anyone called me back. 6) The HOA says quiet time in the neighborhood is from 10pm - 7am, but they do not enforce it. The house next to us had a pool and was rented out the entire time we were there. Music was blaring literally until dawn each night. My 3 year old woke up several times a night each night of our stay because it was SO loud next door. While this isn't Five Stars issue, they should 100% work with the HOA to make sure those rules are enforced. 7) One of the faucets in the master bathroom didn't work - no water would come out when turning the knobs 8) None of the batteries in TV remotes worked, so we had to replace those 9) You have your own portal with property details - gate code, wifi information, check in/check out details, etc. When those details were wrong, they never updated in the portal even though the customer service agent told me she would update that information. I had to call multiple times throughout our stay due to information in the portal being inaccurate. These are all small issues and "first world problems," but with the price of this property you expect a level of cleanliness and service to come with a higher price tag. We almost extended our stay at another property in Santa Rosa Beach, but because the poor service Five Star provided, we ultimately decided to go home and not rent another property with them. We will not stay at this house or use Five Star Properties for future bookings.
