Unreliable Products, Sluggish Aftercare
To be frank, I've never been too enamored of HP products so in a way, bigger fool me. But they had a great Black Friday deal on last year and I needed a big screen laptop so I risked it. And the risk hasn't paid off. The sound was erratic and the camera faulty from the get go but I simply purchased a separate standalone camera which provided a functioning alternative. When I finally decided that I needed to get the built-in camera fixed, well, that's when the issues began. Following a failed attempt by one of their technicians to fix it remotely, I practically had to beg to get the thing collected for repair. And what I was told would take five to ten days has now turned into at least four weeks according to the latest online data in my account at which point I will have been without a laptop for a month. Unreliable products - I recently had to return one of their Chromebooks as well - and utterly indifferent customer service has given Black Friday a whole new meaning. I'll stick with Acer and Asus from now on.
