Beware of a service scam
I rented a car through booking.com but apparently, their subcontractor is this company. I had to cancel the booking at the counter, considering that I will be paying 3 out of the 10 days of rental I booked. I cancelled at the Avis counter as I arrived on time for pickup, and the guy at the counter showed me how the booking is cancelled in their system, referring me to booking.com for a refund. I tried communicating with them via the chat but it didn't work, so I wrote an email. Calling the UK, while I'm a tourist in Sweden is very expensive, so I figured that the email will be sufficient. Well, it wasn't.... Later that day, when I could eventually call them, the customer service was reluctant to help, claimed that the booking was not cancelled, tried to "call Avis" which she claimed didn't answer (strange, when I called them afterwards, they answered immediately!), and outright refused to consider any refund since her system showed I didn't even come to pick the car up! She claimed that the only way to cancel a booking was via phone to them. It doesn't say it anywhere in their terms and conditions and she refused to send me the policy that says such condition. I ended up having to pay for a rented car I didn't even touch, and also carry heavy costs of phoning the UK from another country. Bottom line, it's a scam. Don't use them because if anything happens, you're on your own.
