horrific customer service!
We visited the showroom in Haydock after viewing them online to purchase a TV Bed, mattress and TV back in May, which came to a total just shy of £2600. We were in the process of moving house and they said it would take 8 weeks for delivery as the bed was on pre-order. That suited us as we were in the middle of renovations, and weren’t planning to move in until close to that time anyway. The day of delivery we both took the day off work to ensure it could be built and ready for the night, (We didn’t choose the install as it’s easy to build, despite their hard sell), that same morning we took the old bed/mattress to the tip. We were extremely excited. The delivery driver then rang us the morning of delivery and told us the wrong address had been noted by the sales assistant in the showroom ! We thought it would be a quick fix and they could still deliver it to our house as it was a mistake made by them. This wasn't the case. We spent a further two days trying to find out what’s happening and when our bed was going to arrive, but kept getting palmed off back to the carriers by Stephen, the sales assistant. My partner and I then personally went into store to catch up with the manager as they kept saying the ‘manager’ was never available. We drove 40 miles to the showroom but there was no manager...? The next day we tried to contact the manager but as expected he was unavailable, but was assured he was going to call us back. 48 hours later he finally rang, but was rather defensive instead of apologising for what had happened. Considering this was their fault we were appalled and cancelled the order there and then. We had no bed or mattress and nothing to compensate. As it had been cancelled, we spent all of the last few days trying to chase the manager for an update on our refund, but they didn't seem to care, and there was no sense of urgency, and no one was able to authorise it, and it was only after I threatened to contact my bank was the refund forthcoming, So we had to try find another company for a new bed which luckily we did, which just happened to be cheaper too! Absolutely disgusting customer service, and really spoilt our move to our new home. Do not recommend buying from TVBed.co.uk. Save your money and shop around.
