Voucher code issues & no fair resolution
I bought a phone from Argos with a VOXI SIM advertising one month free. I went through the signup process, and put in my voucher code which it accepted. When I got to the end, I noticed that the address on my PayPal payment page had not formatted correctly. The Voxi address database put in an extra number in the address that is not there and I was concerned this could cause issues further down the line, so I aborted without completing. I went through the process again inputting the address manually, but this time the voucher code did not work saying it had already been used. On the first online chat, after explaining the issue, an attempt was made to sell me a 24 month Vodafone contract! No attempt to resolve the issue, apart from suggesting I go to Argos to see if they can give me a new code. The second person, this time on Facebook chat got me to clear my browser history and try again, and this didn't work, and again they said they can't resolve and referred me to Argos. It is not Argos's problem as it is Voxi's system that has incorrect address formats and registers a voucher code as used if the account was not set up. With no way to resolve this apart from suggesting I make what will be a 12 mile round trip to Argos on the off chance that they might be able to help, I hate to think what their customer service is like for existing customers. This should be an easy issue to resolve, but Voxi make no attempt to help and pass the buck. I find this quite ludicrous, and clearly they do not want my custom, so I will now steer clear of Voxi and Vodafone. Update - VOXI attempted to resolve the issue by offering a free month in line with the voucher, but then the SIM would not activate, they said it would be sorted out in 24-72 hours and it wasn't. So I have given up on Voxi and Vodafone, and I am maintaining the one star rating.
