Damaged My Car & No Responsibility Taken
I had a valet service on my car from IMO Musselburgh on 28 February 2025. I picked the car up in the evening when it was dark outside. The interior looked fine. Next day I noticed that my car was covered in white marks that looked like chemical or water marks. I took it back to IMO only to be told that the marks were just dust and that there had been a lot of dust around lately (essentially fobbed off). Two days later the marks were still there and while I could remove the marks with a little water, they would just reappear. I took my car to IMO again, and this time they said that they would put it through the wash free of charge. Directly after the car looked okay but next day the marks were back even worse than before. I then took my car to another valet service in Dunbar: the guy hand washed and hand dried my car. The car looked fine but he said that if the marks reappeared there was probably an issue with the protective layer of the body work, and that it might have been removed due to too harsh chemicals. Next day, same thing... I went back to IMO Musselburgh (for a fourth time!) and was told that the carwash was nothing to with them and that I had to contact their customer service team on 01494897410 or email customer service. In the first instance I emailed however I never received a reply. I tried calling the number at least 10 times and I never got through. I emailed again informing IMO that had no choice but to raise an insurance claim against the company for damage to my car. I have still not heard anything.
