If I could give no stars i would. Customer service was dreadful. Collected car at Palma airport no problem, hold deposit taken on credit card as agreed. Given a brand new car with 11 miles on and car did the job well for the week hire except when the battery went flat and we had to call out recovery. This in itself wasn't a big issue, sorted within the hour and off we went, these things happen. Returned car, told all good and that full holding payment would be reinstated on car. Returned to UK and noticed that £82 had been taken off our credit card. This is where the fun began. Called car rentals who advised us to call the hire car company in Spain, providing a number to call them. Called company to be told to email them. Emailed them but was incorrect email provided. Recontacted car rentals and advised to raise a dispute on their website. Raised the dispute which was closed off without any communication other than contact the company direct. Eh...I did that already and I'm getting nowhere. Recontacted rental cars, told they would reopen the dispute if I provided proof of payment taken. Uploaded onto dispute and then contacted to say I need to call the car hire company to find out what the charge is for. Provided a different number to call Spain again! Called Spain and got a call centre - told to email a different email address as this was the wrong number and they couldn't help (if you're frustrated reading my ramblings imagine how I'm feeling at this point). Heard nothing in response to this email request. Raised a further dispute online, emailed car rentals and became a nuisance now having raised the issue via 3 different means and finally (3 weeks later) received notification I would be getting a refund which arrived today. This was EXHAUSTING!! Claims / refund process a utter shambles and a shame as otherwise was seamless. If I hadn't been so stubborn and pressed the issue I would not have seen the refund.
