Go Internet - Dispicable ISP

I moved into a new build and with limited options, choose go-internet for my IP. I signed up to 18 months contract. At end of period I assumed it continued on rolling month on month. Suddenly my router stopped working on 9th Feb. I called go-inernet and they confirmed it had malfunctioned. The guy said they would send out a new router the following Tuesday. By Thursday, it still hadn't arrived. I called them back and they said they won't send a new router after all unless I signed up again for another contract of 18mths or 24months, or buy my own router, or go to another IP. I was shocked. I have been for years with virgin media in my old house and never had such poor customer service. I have NEVER missed any payments since signing up to go-internet, have been an exemplary customer so cannot understand this company's behaviour. I now believe this is their tactics to get people to sign up to them for additional contractual terms. I gave notice to quit with them as I have no Internet service at all and they made it clear they will not resolve the problem unless i sign another contract. I have asked to speak to the manager and always told they are in a meeting or out of the office. I asked if they could cut off the service earlier than the 30 days notice as I have got another router and it still doesn't connect to the Internet. They refused. This is deliberate from this company. My honest opinion is for anyone considering signing up with them to be aware of their tricks. Steer clear. Ashley on customer services and others don't appear to know what they are saying and literally just fob you off. Poor service from Go Internet. I would not ever recommend this company on OFNL. Following Go-internets response below has not changed my perception of their tactics. If I am on a rolling contract and continue to pay every month on time and without fail, there is no reason why go-internet should opt out of fixing their failed equipment... unless as I said, it appears to me you just wanted me to sign a new contract. You dont think its unreasonable to ask for a new contract, and i dont thik it is unreasonable to ask that you fix your 'faulty' one. I won't get into a war of words with you as a company. Your aftercare services suck in my opinion, and my experience with you as a ISP has not left a good impression. People need to be aware of how you operate hence my review from my experience.
