I was desperate
I was desperate, got £3000 loan about 4years ago. Repayments were £458 a month - it nearly cost me everything. 4 years later, I still have £3800 to pay. I have already paid nearly £8000 to this disgusting company. I had to get a debt management plan to reduce the payments, slow it down so I could afford my other bills. I now pay an agreed amount of £46 a month, and pay more when I can afford it. I recently asked for a settlement fee, and pleaded for them to understand id already paid £8000 to them, most of it in interest, and could they consider writing off some of the outstanding balance as a gesture of goodwill. They said they couldn't do this because the loan settlement date had expired in 2022, so I had to pay the full amount. This will be at least another 84 monthly payments, plus interest. Avoid this company at all costs. The small print is very long, but read it carefully, no matter how desperate you are - this company is no better than the back street loan shark. Quick & easy to get the loan, but absolutely heartless & ruthless if you're struggling. I'm surprised it's legal. It's scandalous.
