Horrible Service!!

I contacted American Water Resources for a clogged kitchen drain on a Thursday night. First issue, they said a plumber will be calling me the next day to schedule a time. No one called me. I had to contact the plumber directly and they were able to come at 6:30 Friday. They showed up in an unmarked van and asked if we had a plunger he could use. He couldn't fix the clog and said someone will contact me tomorrow (Saturday with a time to come back with a camera) still waiting to hear from someone on Monday. I called and they scheduled me for Tuesday then called later that day to cancel and reschedule me for Wednesday then called to cancel again and scheduled me for Thursday. Now a week later and unable to use my kitchen sink I called back AWR and was told I could hire my own local plumber and submit a reimbursement for the work performed. I have in home plumbing plus and sewer line protection plans. Needless to say, they denied the claim advising I did not have authorization to hire someone. After I explained the events and that customer service sent me the claims form and advised me to do so. All while enduring the most abusive and rude customer service agents I have ever delt with. The cost of this program was high $27.00 a month that I paid for years and recently decided to cancel it, but they lowered the monthly bill to $8.47. This is an absolute waste of money, and someone should be regulating the cost of this program as well as the services they provide. False advertising, rude representatives, and unprofessional service. Instead of this program, my homeowner's insurance has an endorsement for sewer line protection at a minimal cost and decided to go with State Farm in case any issue arise with the sewer line. In home plumbing plus doesn't protect you as they mislead you to believe. It's better just to pay out of pocket and find your own plumber. Also, I asked them to cancel my plan yesterday and it's still active. I called this morning, and their computers are down. AWR service is horrible, and they need to be investigated.
