Just spent 40 minutes on phone to…

Just spent 40 minutes on phone to Lloyds Bank. I requested my account be closed around 8 weeks ago but continue to get emails and texts telling me I'm £3 overdrawn for subsequent "Club Lloyds" fees. I had no overdraft but seems Lloyds can make spurious charges which result in an overdraft after I requested my account be closed. Now, lovely young Indian lady took my call but had very little clue, I was placed on hold 3 times for between 5 and 7 minutes to ask someone who had a clue about what to do. Refunded the charges but I have to ring another number in 2 says to ask for the account to be closed. I asked why the app closure process doesn't work but no idea. Horrible bank, supposed to be a UK bank but over 50% of staff are in India, terrible organisation full of hypocrisy. Do not bank with them.

Chasing me for 9 months for money not…

--edit (17/11/2018) Was contacted by "social media executive" on here saying a response would be given - just a feeble PR exercise - this company DO NOTHING to help their customers and are a joke - strongly recommend you avoid these cowboys. -- /edit Chasing me for 9 months for money not owed. Here's official complaint (with specific details) I sent on 1st Sept, no acknowledgement, still getting demands for +500 quid. Shocking. Dear Economy Energy, Account Number: EXXXXXXX Name: REDACTED Address: X-REDACTED-X I moved from the above address on 31st January 2018. I informed Economy Energy of the fact the following week. I was in credit when I left the property. My direct debit was canceled and you acknowledge such in an email dated 23rd March 2018. I am still in credit to an amount of at least £40 with you now. Here is a list of some of the continuous harassment from you that I have received since then telling me I have an ever increasing amount owed to you: Email: 12th June 14:39 - Overdue account, no amount specified Email: 2nd July 16:05 - Overdue account, no amount specified Email: 11th July 15:59 - Overdue account, no amount specified Email: 18th July 11:45- Overdue account, no amount specified Email: 26th July 14:01 - Final Notice - 7 days to may, no ***** amount specified Text Message: 20th August - 14:50pm - notification of balance of £544.28 outstanding (apparently) Text Message: 22th August - 14:29pm - notification of balance of £544.28 outstanding (apparently) Text Message: 24th August - 13:10pm - notification of balance of £544.28 outstanding (apparently) Text Message: 28th August - 13:29pm - notification of balance of £544.28 outstanding (apparently) Phone call: 23rd August, 14:25 - 15 minutes call and was told that clearly my account is not in arreas and that it would be sorted Phone call: 31st August, 13:12 - 15 minutes call and was told that clearly my account is not in arrears and that it would be sorted Phone call: 31st August, 14:56 - missed call Phone call: 1st September, 16:30 - Told the guy to go away and now registering this complaint about harassment There are plenty that I haven't got around to dig out but the list goes on. I will check my phone and email history more fully before reporting this to the regulator. Every time I have have engaged I have been told that it is a mistake. Then a day or two later another collection agent from your company rings me to tell me the same over again. It's complete ground hog day. I have been assured several times by the person calling that they would contact the appropriate department and stop this. I have now BLOCKED all numbers from you for calls and texts. I have also directed any further emails to go to trash. I ask that any future correspondence goes to my home address in writing so I can fully record this. I will accept an apology and should one be received from you I will take no further action. I would also expect a full refund of any amounts I have overpaid to be sent via cheque to the same address.
