NO HUMANITY. MADE MY ANXIETY AND OCD WORSE FROM FALSE ACCUSATIONS AND INCORRECT ADVICE. Please stay clear of this company. I was recently in a car accident where my car was written off. I was called up by direct line (who work with PSA insurance) ,off a personal mobile number I am sure these calls are legally required to be recorded? Anyway I spoke to Ian on the phone who told me that I am not entitled to the market value of my car which I had on PCP. He incorrectly told me that my car is a lease, even though my statements say Hire Purchase agreement, he told me that I would only get the finance paid off which was a lot less than the value of the car. Despite me saying that i have been told I have equity in the car he was adamant that I did not. When I disputed this with him, he accused me of trying to commit insurance fraud and quite bluntly said they will not pay me to crash my car. He did not care at all about the anxiety and physical injuries I received from the accident. As someone who suffers from extreme OCD and anxiety the next few days were a huge struggle for me. The calls in between he confirmed the same and accused me a second time of insurance fraud… I was so shaken up after the accident and this on top made me so much worse. Eventually, he told me that I will get the market value for my car “whether or not he feels it is legally or morally right”. But told me I have no need to call my gap insurance as I have no need. After calling my gap cover they told me that I should definitely use them and that I do have a claim. Again I feel this was Ian trying to get me to settle on whatever he feels is right, (off record)!! When I chased my claim with PSA insurance, they told me that Ian the claim engineer I believe they called him, failed to send them my report which he should have done right after he last called me. Again trying to cause me more distress because he did not understand the product he was employed to insure. This whole incident has left me anxious and let down by the people who should have been looking out for me. I can understand why Peugeot and Direct Line have such bad reviews… and I definitely understand why Uk Insurance Ltd do not have a trust pilot, or at least one I can find!
