A good overall holiday but hotel in Lisbon had many maintenance issues. No special diets or allergies catered for on river cruise. Truly horrendous and worrying. Was given full sugar coke instead of sugar free and told it was zero sugar, being type 1 diabetic with a constant blood monitor. Life threatening lies. Needed well cooked veg & thinly sliced meats as stomach issues, given ROTTEN broccoli on last day, no proteins. Had to go to a supermarket to self cater. Cruise Director was a typical smoozer & not interested about safety of customers. And replying to ATP. I needed thinly sliced meats & well cooked veg - not difficult & supplies the first couple of days. The cruise director may have taken the trouble to find out my food requirements when I stopped being given food on day 3, but sadly he didn’t make any effort at all to ensure the cook sliced meats and cooked vegetables thoroughly. We later found out the boat was owned by Nicco tours, so it explains why nothing was done by the cook or cruise director.
