My Experience with Dentakay
I want to share my experience to help others make a more informed decision about visiting Dentakay. The first 12 hours were chaotic. There was no timely communication about my arrival details despite several inquiries. After wandering the airport and struggling to connect to Wi-Fi, I reached the hotel at 3 a.m., only to find my booking was missing. After confusion between Dentakay and the hotel staff, my booking was eventually sorted out in the morning. IT felt disorganized from the start. Appointment details were unclear, multiple conflicting messages. These small errors combined left me feeling uneasy, and I even considered leaving. I was stressed by the lack of communication and worried if I should trust for treatment. Clinic itself is busy with numerous teams handling different tasks, which resulted frequently miscommunication I barely got any information about procedures, aftercare, or even session timelines. During my initial consultation, which I was told would be an hour, I ended up staying for seven hours without clear guidance on what was happening. Thank you Sadia and Karim,honestly made my Visit so much more comfortable and reassuring. My Consultant was the most hopeless contact of this whole journey I’m not lying! He started really lovely answering my questions until the deposit was made, I had to chase for hotel information, how it works when I arrive the lot. It felt like messaging your younger sibling who was annoyed by you. Also before putting a deposit down, I questioned if he could share insight as a lot of feedback was posted that when people got there the price increased and I will copy his exact words from his message “Yes your treatment is clear and I update your treatment plan from the xray the proce won't change. I know your situation about the the finance Yiu know it's not fair to only look at the few bad reviews I can give you number of my patients who did the treatment just last week and they are super happy with the results” After this message I actually felt bad even asking him this about the feedback. But yup you guessed it, this exact man sat me down after my consultation and gave me increased prices…… honestly the shock I had. . In my Consultation my ‘consultant’ also asked me If I could extend my trip, mind you when we first sat he asked me “when do you fly out” ? Hebooked my flights! We discussed and I said I could make it work if needed but I needed to know Asap so I could rearrange work. Now the last I heard was will we need to change it from Tuesday to Wednesday departure, this was a Thursday so come Saturday afternoon not a single word. I messaged my consultant Saturday night when leaving, he responded I’ll find out Not a single word again. Come Monday 11.00 am and I received a message from the Scheduling team for my airport pick up as I was meant to be leaving in less then 24 hours as originally planned. The only reason I checked this with my consultant was how unorganised already. So I messaged him asking if this was accurate pick up. All I got back from him was a picture of new flight time leaving the following day. No message nothing just the picture. I message this information to the scheduling team, to ensure they were updated.Before arriving for my appointment I requested to my consultant if he could pre send me he Response, I’ll request it for you. Nope didn’t get it and when I arrived straight to payment and I guess you guys already know the payment had gone up! There was no formal breakdown just his writing on a piece of paper. A NEW piece not even the breakdown we went through in my consultation When we originally went over the new proposal from my consultant he wrote everything out but I assumed it was because we were discussing. So here the part that blows my mind. There was about £300-400 took my deposit out. He said it’s not included so not only did I get scammed into pay more he also robbed me of my deposit. When I tell you I questioned him he said no Aimee I told You this, but what evidence did I have it was all handwritten BY HIM, mind you the new handwritten cost breakdown we were using wasn’t even the original we discussed so I had nothing, and what am I going to do refuse, I have temporary teeth in.The breakdown made no sense what had been discussed originally gone, he made his own. I felt my consultant gaslight me on every interaction and took advantage of my vulnerable situation, he never actioned any of my request, I had to chase for updates and information . I shared with him in my first consultation when he told me hey the price is more, hey you need to stay longer oh and hey you actually going to go into your first appointment 4 hour shaving treatment at 3.30 pm with no warning Definitely get your teeth done. Would I recommend Dentakay, No. My Consultant has left a really bitter experience, with manipulation and lying.
