Beware how P&O sells this Cruise
Beware how P&O sells this Cruise I am so angry and disappointed with P&Os Complaints Process as previous emails if this is not misrepresentation please let me know what is ???????????????? I DO NOT APPRECIATE BEING DECEIVED My booking shows Toulon then like everyone else you send a email its changed now going to Lav Seyne Sur Mer then you have the audacity to advise if you want to go to Toulon there is a boat that for £20 each will take you to Toulon which we was due to go to when booking I have discovered Toulon cannot accommodate large ships like the arvia which P&O must have known before putting it on the itinerary this goes back a while according to the reviews P&O have used tenders for the last few years Please see reviews below Cruise Critic CommunitY All Activity Home Categories Cruise Lines “P – Z” P&O Cruises ( UK ) Port changed from Toulon to La seyne sur mer Port changed from Toulon to La seyne sur mer Vampiress88 By Vampiress88, March 12 in P&O Cruises ( UK ) ShareFollowers15 1 2 3 4 Next Page 1 of 4 Vampiress88 Vampiress88Great ReviewRare 1.9k January 11, 2019 The moon #1 Posted March 12 Just had an email for the cruise in less than two weeks that we have changed port on p&o Arvia - but it’s ok cos we can pay £20 per adult and £10 per child to still get to Toulon. im miffed if im honest. This was one of the only new ports for us to try. might have to look for alternatives to do that day and glad I haven’t booked anything independent MarieO23 MarieO23 6 April 26, 2014 #2 Posted March 12 Hi Just had the same email for the April 27 th 2025 sailing . Wonder why cannot use the tender boats to get us across ? Not good you have to pay £60 as a family to see Toulon . dronnygirl dronnygirlHoliday SharingRare 1.7k April 5, 2009 NE Derbyshire #3 Posted March 12 Wow that's a bit naughty. Same happened to us in October, we were with Marella and there was no charge for the tender. Toulon is a Naval dock so it looks as though all sailings will be going to La Seyne. It's quite a nice ride across the bay and it's on a French boat not ship tenders. A nice easy day is to go to the tourist info in Toulon (by the market) and ask them for tickets to Mont Faron. Can't remember the price but it wasn't much. They sell you a bus/cable car ticket and point you in the direction of the bus stop. Ask the driver to put you off at the cable car. The bus journey is only about 15 minutes. There are beautiful views of the bay and there are walks at the top as well as a cafe and small WW11 museum. It’s not like we can cancel the cruise even if we wanted to, we’ve paid select fare not saver also but I suppose they will just say it’s their right to change ports. I just don’t think they should be charging people for it. Had it have been before full balance then I wouldn’t have had as much of a gripe. showingdiva showingdiva 979 July 24, 2014 #6 Posted March 12 Is it the size of Arvia? I don't mean in terms of passenger numbers, but the actual size of her, and whether Toulon has become one of those Mediterranean ports that are limiting cruise ships. Looking at Toulon's schedule in 2025, she's the largest that was due to dock there by some considerable margin. Fraann Fraann 77 June 6, 2024 Southampton #7 Posted March 12 Had the email too for our cruise in under 3 weeks time. I’ve already checked in online. I’ve never heard of the replacement port and the ‘nominal’ fee to take the boat transfer is £20 each. I don’t call that nominal if a family want to go. Has anyone been to La Seyne-sur-Mer?
